Community Midwives
Our team of Midwives, known as the Beaches Team, are available to provide health care, advice and support regarding pregnancy, birth and the care of the mother and baby within the family home. Please contact them on 01271 866239 during normal opening times. If you need to contact your midwife outside of these times, please telephone 01271 322577. The switchboard will take your message and ask the midwife to contact you.
Community Nurses
If you are confined to your home and need nursing assistance, your doctor may arrange for a member of the District Nursing team to call. They may be contacted on 01271 865882 and as of August 2023 are based at the Tyrrell Community Hospital in Ilfracombe.
Health Visitors
The Health Visitors and School Nurses are nurses with specialist training in Public Health. Their work is in the promotion of health in patients aged 0 – 19 years. They are located in offices at the Police Station and are directly contactable on 03332 341904
Health & Wellbeing Team
Our friendly health & wellbeing team are available to speak to patients about a range of social issues, including financial problems, social isolation and outside services, and general or specialist wellbeing support.
