Enhanced Access:

Local GP practices are working together to offer patients evening and weekend appointments around North Devon.  That means you will be able to see a GP, nurse or other health professional at a time which is most convenient for you.

We’re here for you evenings and weekends:
evening and weekend appointments are available at this GP practice, or at an NHS service nearby, including for your vaccinations, health checks and screenings. Please call us on 01271 863119 to check availability.

Out of hours – When We Are Closed

When we are closed, Please call NHS England – 111. This is a free to call (landline or mobile) service and is answered by fully trained call advisers, supported by experienced nurses.  The service ensures that you are directed to the service that is best able to meet your needs.

They use a clinical assessment system to assess your problem safely and effectively and will direct you to the right NHS service. If your call is assessed as being a medical emergency they will electronically pass the details to the appropriate ambulance service who will automatically dispatch an ambulance.

NHS 111 will provide first aid advice to the caller until the ambulance service arrives. You should be aware that telephone calls to all these services are recorded.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency, you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
