Our main Flu clinics are available on Saturday 30th September & Saturday 14th October in Ilfracombe and 4th October in Combe Martin.
We will be sending out staggered Flu Vaccination invitations via text message to our eligible patients next week. If you receive a text invite, please try to book your flu vaccination as soon as possible using the link provided. The link will only last for 10 days.
We will be sending out invitations in the post for anyone eligible who does not have a mobile phone number or has dissented to text messaging.
Our Flu Vaccination Line opens from 14th August weekdays 11am – 3pm and runs for 2 weeks for anyone wishing to book over the phone (if you have had a letter or unable to book via the link).
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT CALL BEFORE OR OUTSIDE THIS TIME TO BOOK YOUR FLU VACCINATION AS THIS COULD JAM OUR REGULAR PHONE LINES PREVENTING IMPORTANT CALLS FROM GETTING THROUGH.
The flu vaccination line is only available to book flu vaccinations, please do not call this number for any other bookings or enquiries as the call handler will be unable to assist you.
Free NHS Flu Vaccination Eligibility this year has changed:
• Children aged 2 to 15 years old on 31 August 2023*
• pregnant women
• Anyone living with a long-term medical condition
• Everyone aged 65 years and over this Flu Season
• People who receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if the carer gets sick.
• Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
***Please note vaccinations are not available this year through the NHS for 50-64 year olds without a long-term condition or carer status ***
If you are not eligible for free NHS Flu Vaccination, you may be able to pay for vaccination through your local pharmacy. Please contact them for information.
* Pre-school children aged 2 or 3 years (on 31 August 2023) will be vaccinated at the practice. Children aged 4 to 15 years will usually be vaccinated at school.
PLEASE NOTE we do not need to know if you would not like a flu vaccination this year. Please just ignore any messages you get if you do not wish to book.
